Massage is an enjoyable and relaxing treatment to assit your body in finding comfort with less pain and less stress. Regular treatment will teach your body how to maintain a healthy happy you.

Melissa Cushman is a certified massage therapist who enjoys incorporating Swedish, Deep Tissue, Mycrofascial Release, Trigger Point and many other modalities to help each client with their individual needs. She graduated from Hesser Community College in 2010 and has been working as a therapist since.

 

 

Types of Massage:

 

Swedish - A smooth flowing technique to help promote relaxation. Stress will decrease and muscle tension will ease. Increased circulation is also a benefit.

 

Deep Tissue - This technique focuses on targeting and releasing tension where chronic pain and soreness is present within the muscle. A deeper pressure is used during this massage. Warm towels and pain relieving muscle cream is also used.

 

Warm Stones - Warm smooth stones are used to penetrate the muscles with warmth to help stimulate circulation, relax muscles and reduce inflammation. (NOT ADVISED DURING PREGNANCY)

 

Prenatal/Pregnancy - Recommended after the first trimester. Gentle techniques are used to help treat the discomforts of pregnancy. Swelling, muscle soreness and backache can be reduced.
