Styling Tips
Style Tip #1: If you are noticing flakes from your scalp you may have dry scalp. Flakes are always dandruff. You will just need to rub conditioner at your scalp.
Style Tip #2: Using a leave in condition or a product to protect your hair from the dry air of the winter is a must to help keep your hair moisturized and healthy through the winter months.
Style Tip #3: To keep your blond from getting green in the chlorinated pools wet your hair and put conditioner in prior to getting in the pool. The conditioner will fill your hair so that the chlorine is not absorbed by the hair.
Style Tip #4: If you are finding that you have to change your shampoo and conditioner because it seems to be not working anymore it may be because it is leaving a build up on your hair. You may need to use a clarifying shampoo to get off the build up. This can also be true for mineral build up from your water as well.
Style Tip #5: Trims are important even when you are growing your hair out. Your hair gets split ends and they do not go away with out cutting them off. They will keep splitting up the shaft of the hair until that hair breaks. So to keep your locks healthy and growing you should get a trim at least every 8-10 weeks.
Style Tip #6: When your hair is wet you should always use a wide tooth comb to remove tangles and when your hair is dry you should use a brush. This will keep your hair from breaking due to the pulling from the comb or brush.
Style Tip #7: If your hair still seems to be frizzy after you apply your product you may not be putting it in correctly or you may not be putting in enough of it. When applying your product you should be sectioning out your hair into 3 or four sections and applying product to each section as you go to ensure good coverage and ample product.
Style Tip #8: To keep your grey or blond hair bright use a purple shampoo a couple times a week.
Style Tip #9: To get more body and make blow dryer easier, dry your hair 75% of the way with just your hands lift up the strands as you go. Then dry the rest of the way with your brush.
Style Tip #10: If you are having a hard time keeping your hair up in a clip or band because it is to slippery use a hair powder for added grip.
